Leaving Alice

After a night with the Fincke River racers in the Big 4 at Alice, I took the long road to Katherine. I camped at a roadhouse camping ground,again very basic but fine at Renner Springs. These peacocks roamed the campsite and there were some hassling geese. The drive from the Alice to Katherine is very much drier especially after crossing the Tropic of Capricorn. Trees were stumpy and grasses were dry.Still Mallee and Desert oak forests, but only a few of the ghost gums.
